From early 1990 for over a decade, Mr. Fukuda was theprestigious Heidrick & Struggels (H&S)’ board director andmanaging partner working from 3 main offices of H&S, New York,Tokyo, and Los Angeles.He was the first Asian to serve on the board of H&S to take H&Sto an IPO in the US.He is featured in the book, ”Global 200 Executive Recruiters” by Nancy Garrison-Jenn as one of the best 200 in the world.Using 80 H&S global offices, he recruited top executives for manyFortune 500 companies and start-ups, such as IBM, Apple,Gucci, NTT, Hilton Hotels, Google. Prior to H&S, he served as president and director of a number ofcompanies. Among them is Boston Scientific (the world's largesthigh-tech medical device and stent manufacturer). Mr. Fukudacommercialized a cardiac stent from Japan and helped itssuccessful IPO at NYSE.After high school in Japan, Mr. Fukuda majored in InternationalRelations and Physics at Beloit College in Wisconsin andreceived his MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School ofBusiness. Along his business career, he taught at Beloit College,New York University, etc. and was a board member of FuquaSchool of Business at Duke University and served as thepresident of the Duke University Alumni Association. He currentlyserves as a director for several companies around the world. Heis an FAA certified pilot.
